Zoë Kravitz’s directorial debut has undergone a title change.

Formerly titledPussy Island, the upcoming movie is now calledBlink Twiceand will debut in theaters on Aug. 23, Amazon MGM Studios announced Friday, according toDeadlineandThe Hollywood Reporter.

The film’s cast includes Naomi Ackie, Channing Tatum, Geena Davis, Alia Shawkat, Simon Rex, Haley Joel Osment, Adria Arjona, Christian Slater and Kyle MacLachlan.

The logline, perTHR, warns, “There is something wrong with this place. She’ll have to uncover the truth if she wants to make it out of this party alive.”

Back in August 2022, Kravitz, 35, toldWSJ. Magazinethat she didn’t plan on altering the provocative title.

“The title came from that world. The title is the seed of the story,” she said at the time. “It represents this time where it would be acceptable for a group of men to call a place that and the illusion that we’re out of that time now.”

Kravitz’s now-fiancé Tatum, 43, told the outlet at the time, “I didn’t know Zoë before I met her for the film. When we first met the movie was pretty different than its form now, but the themes were the same. All the iterations it has gone through were all pretty punk rock, to be honest.”

InGQ’s 2022 Men of the Yearissue, Kravitz said Tatum looked out for her on set of the film.

“Whether it was making me tea or pouring me a drink or going to whip someone into shape or whatever — hereally was my protectorand it was really wonderful and sweet,” she said at the time.

Kravitz added of working with him, “I think if you can do something like that together, it’s a good test. And we came out even stronger.”
