Sofia Richie is having a major moment. Her modeling career is sky-rocketing (she walked in theYeezy season 4 show during New York Fashion Week!) She’s datingJustin Bieber. And now she landed the cover ofBillboardmagazine’s style issue. The 18-year-old rising star spills about her drama-filled relationship, what it’s like growing up with her über-famous father (Lionel Richie) and where she sees her career heading.
“We have a special relationship,” she says. “Justin is very easy to talk to, and that’s hard to find with people in Los Angeles.”

“I remember the paparazzi and the s–t people would say to Nicole [Richie], and she wouldn’t respond,” says Sofia. “I’m going to be real with you: It. Doesn’t. Bother. Me. As long as I’m happy.”
As for her modeling career, which is currently on the rise thanks toKanye West’s latest showand serving as the face ofMadonna’s teen line, Material Girl, she still sees her career going another way. “I love modeling because I get to see everything that inspires me,” she tellsBillboard. “Then I go home and sketch.”
She reveals that she would love to design a ready-to-wear collection one day, mostly consisting of her personal style that would include trenches, high-waisted pants, pantsuits and silks.

And she even plays personal stylist for her famous father. “My dad can leave the house looking a little crazy. I have to tell him to change.”
But now that she just turned 18, he’s on his own. “It’s time to go,” she says about moving out on her own.
