While it ’s been fun to observe as Fox ’s Gotham has tossed out the traditional Batman lineage story in favor of a Samuel Wilder , more loosely batshit twist on Bruce Wayne ’s former eld , we all know that the show ’s been building to this moment .
In the viewing oflast week ’s wafture of cancellation , Fox has announced that Gotham will return for a fifth and final time of year that will adopt along as Bruce finally puts on that iconic , cockeyed bat costume and dedicates his lifetime to push crime .
According to Variety , Gotham ’s final season will be significantly unforesightful than previous installments , but there ’s no concrete word on just how many Modern episodes the connection will order . A truncated season might not be what hardcore Gotham fan wanted for Bruce and the gang but at least we can all rest easy knowing that when the waste ride that is this show is at last over , it ’ll finish with a sense of definite finality and ( hopefully ) some kind of closure for its heroes .
