Long fourth dimension Gizmodo reader Matt Van Gastel received this electronic mail after a long call with Apple support regarding the Purple Flare job in his phone , which ostensibly is a feature of speech coarse to every iPhone 5 :

So it is final , folks : Apple says that , if your photos have a purple solar flare , this is wholly normal demeanour of the iPhone 5 ’s camera . You are just holding it wrong .
