Remember when Paramountdropped the animated film The Little Prince last hebdomad ? It turns out that we will get to see it after all , but not in theater : Netflix will be distributing the film .
The Hollywood Reporter has notedthat The Little Prince , which was imagine to go far in theaters yesterday , will now be distributed by Netflix . The film is adapted from the book by Antoine de Saint - Exupery , Le Petit Prince , and was direct byMark Osbornewith its script written by Irena Brignull . It has already been release internationally .
While Netflix has picked up the film , it has yet to release a particular date for it ’s cyclosis premiere – the THR has only indicated that it will be uncommitted “ this year ” . Netflix has become recognize for picking up cancelled production , such as Arrested Development and Longmire , and as it elbow its way of life into producing and discharge its own films , agreeing to distribute this celluloid draw sense : it gives them an offering that has already received some ( avowedly , mixed ) acclaim that might be more successful outside of theatre .
