Like many people , I live in an apartment . I do n’t really know how honest-to-goodness my building is , but it must be kind of old : it has a dark and muddied basement , the cap has sally in it , and there are a few exposed metal pipework . As you’re able to in all probability guess , my old apartment makes a lot of really spooky racket .
Some of these noises are pretty gentle to calculate out . My cat gagging , for lesson , and the radiator clank sound somewhat interchangeable , but the gag cat usually bulge with moaning . A Ghost or Hacker
Some nights , I hear an super high - pitched and buzzy tone coming from the room with the television in it . Sometimes , when the weather acts up , the wind blows these wires against the side of the house , make a telling smacking sound . The slap speech sound is n’t scary on stormy night . I told my friends I was brave enough to watch out Donnie Darko when I was 10 , and I was — at the time . If you do n’t remember the plot of the movie , basically a in high spirits schooler is saved from a go down super C engine by the specter of his babe ’s boyfriend in a spooky coney costume . Over the long time , Frank ’s countenance started fright me more and more . What if ( gulp ) I had to face at the chilling - looking rabbit ? At almost 30 years old and after multiple viewings of the movie , I ’m not afraid of Frank during the daytime . But at night , I wonder when Frank is in conclusion going to visit me , specially when I see The Creaking .
If The Creaking were simply the audio of footstep , then there would be nothing scary about it . Maybe my upstairs neighbor who I jazz dearly is just walking up to her apartment ! But The Creaking is a single , solitary creak , like a mass suddenly appearing and causing the wood to sag . Obviously when I hear The Creaking it means that Frank has arrived at my door , and if I open up the door at just this moment , then I ’m decease to have to look at him . And that ca n’t be good .
A Fish That Might Be Dead
The sound of rushing piddle is apparently always filling my creak , Buzzing , Smacking apartment . That ’s not much of a mystery in itself . Presumably another renter is just shower or the heating organisation is pump raging weewee . I ’m not stupefied , after all . But , recent at night , I have to contend with The Flowing .
The Flowing is sort of like the auditory sensation of a stool blush in another one of the building ’s units , except it does n’t last as long and is usually a piddling quieter . Like the rest of the scary noises in my apartment , I only remark The flow at night when there are n’t any other sounds . deplorably , The Flowing can only be one thing : a fish inside the piping scheme that has stopped moving , which is going to cause a wetting to natural spring , resulting in the fish bring down directly on top of me . I will simulate that the Pisces is drained … but then it will embark on flopping .
I do n’t have it away what it is about dying Pisces that creeps me out . Those are just a few of the spooky haphazardness that I hear in my flat , but there are plenty of others : Beeps , Scratches , Crackles , and the similar .
